This handheld CB radio comes with seven watts of input and four watts of output (the FCC maximum allowable.) This model is 33% smaller than its predecessor. Other highlights include: automatic noise control, automatic gain control, a bright LED display, high/low power switch and a flexible antenna. This mobile radio operates on nine AA batteries. Battery saver circuitry helps saves energy; there is also a 12V DC lighter socket adaptor included to help save batteries.

This Midland Radio came as advertised. Although it is a cheap unit compared to other handheld radios, it is very durable and works great. When in the open with the supplied antenna the range is very far. Obviously if you need long range while inside a building or vehicle an external antenna always works better, and can be ordered here on amazon or bought at any electronics store for less then $30 with the BNC converter.

Pros:
Low Cost.
Good Range.
Loud Speaker.

Cons:
Channel selection buttons & PTT are to close together, have to get used to it.
Uses 9AA batteries, rechargeable batteries included would have made it allot better along with a wall plug, but for traveling it is fine with the included 12v car adapter.

I couldn't get any reception.It just didn't work.Could't get someone 10 feet away.This was disappointing.

I received the radio without the antenna. This wasn't in the product discription. I now have a 30 dollar door stop. Verry disapointed with Amazon.com and warehouse deals for not fulfilling their end of the bargain and sending me everything that I paid for.

The Midland 75-785 Handheld CB Radio is a excellent value for the price. The unit is used for keeping in touch during car tours with other members of our club. In years past I have used other units of this type, but none can compare with the excellent performance of this unit.
